Adjusting Your Skin Care For Spring
Now that the cold winds of winter have subsided and spring is in full bloom, it’s time to adjust your skin care routine accordingly. Here are some tips on how to spring up your beauty regimen just in time for the warmer months:
Always Cleanse
A fresh face always starts with a thorough cleanse, so be sure to rid your face of makeup, oil, and other gunk before you hit the hay. Avoid using cleansing products that contain detergent, including sodium laurel sulfate, as this can be overly harsh and irritate sensitive skin.
Exfoliate
No matter how many products you use, you’ll never obtain that sun-kissed glow if you don’t exfoliate. You should be doing this twice per week with a loofah or washcloth. Exfoliating helps to remove dead skin cells so that the new, fresher ones appear.
Moisturize
Apply a Vitamin C serum or other moisturizing product every morning after you shower to keep your skin healthy and hydrated.
Avoid the Sun
Sure, it feels great to sunbathe in those warm rays, but it can prove tragic for your skin. Increased exposure to the sun can lead to premature aging signs, such as sun spots, fine lines, wrinkles, and even skin cancer. It is never too early or late to start using an anti aging serum.
Slather on the Sunscreen
When you are going to be outside, wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. If you’re at the beach or pool, choose a waterproof, broad-spectrum sunscreen and re-apply it during the day.
Drink Your Water
To keep your skin hydrated and radiant from the inside out, be sure you are drinking the doctor-recommended eight glasses of water every day.
From using a Vitamin C serum to avoiding the sun, it is super simple to change your skincare routine as the seasons change.
