It's #FacialFriday!

We all know the saying, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. Now more than ever, we are casting around for ways to take a sour situation, and spin it into something uplifting, rewarding and still affordable. For many of us, baking has become the ultimate cathartic activity, literally turning those lemons into gorgeous lemon pies and cheesecakes. At Timeless, we’ve taken the ubiquitous lemon and created a rejuvenating facial you can create at home!

Product Education Specialist, Shelly Leggins has put the multi-tasking lemon to work in this Anti-Breakout Rejuvenating Lemon Facial. Lemon provides a great dose of antioxidant vitamin C. The citric acid is a natural type of alpha hydroxy acid that can help slough off dead skin cells, unclogging pores and acting as an antibacterial and antifungal agent that can help fight against break outs and even skin tone.

WHY DOES pH MATTER? The Magic Balance of Healthy Skin

December 31, 2020

They say everything in nature is about balance, and that is no less true when it comes to our skin. Achieving the delicate ying and yang of beautiful skin may come down to maintaining the right pH balance. So, what is the magic pH level of healthy skin?  On a scale of 0 to 14, the ideal state is slightly acidic, sitting around 5.

What products we use can also affect the pH level of healthy skin. Have you ever wondered why some cleansers give your skin that squeaky-clean tight feeling? They could be disrupting your skin’s pH level. Choose soap-free cleansers that are pH balanced (not too alkaline or too acidic) that fall within the range of normal, healthy skin.
