5 Must-Haves For Your Next Beach Vacation

April 26, 2017

With your hotel booked and vacation days allotted, it’s now time to figure out just exactly what you’re going to pack for your beautiful beach holiday. Besides the obvious bathing suit and sunglasses, you should pack your beach babe beauty products. Here are five beauty essentials for your beach vacation:

Self-Tanner

If your pasty complexion has only been exposed to fluorescent lighting, a natural self-tanner will get you looking beach-bunny ready. Plus, if you opt for a self-tanner, you can avoid the harsh UV rays that accompany most tanning beds, which wreak havoc on your skin.

SPF

While you’re soaking up the sand and surf at the beach, don’t allow your sensitive skin to soak up hazardous sunlight. Use an SPF of at least 50 all over your body, including on your face. Don’t forget this essential product in tender areas as well – including your under-eyes and lips. An SPF balm will work wonders in these sensitive skin areas.

Waterproof Makeup

If the thought of going barefaced to the beach doesn’t sit easy with you, opt for a couple of waterproof makeup items, such as waterproof mascara. You can look like a total beach babe, even while in the water.

Moisturizers and Serums

Even though you’re on vacation, you shouldn’t take an extended break from your skincare and beauty routine. Bring along your trusted anti-aging serum and ferulic acid serum to combat fine lines, wrinkles, and dehydration during your trip.

Portable Wipes

These are a godsend when you’re on the go, as they work double duty as a nighttime skin cleanser and quick cleanup tool while in the car or on a plane.

Enjoy your beach vacation while looking gorgeous and taking great care of your skin!

For such a popular skin care ingredient, there’s a lot going on with HA, so beware of love at first use! There are more layers to using HA than the simple equation, Dry Skin + Hyaluronic Acid = Hydrated Skin. In some conditions, the intended results can actually backfire. Think the opposite of clear, dewy, plump skin. So how do you use HA properly?

First - Debunking Common Myths about HA

Hyaluronic Acid is not actually an acid, like glycolic or salicylic acid that exfoliates the skin. HA is a complex sugar, known as a polysaccharide, that occurs naturally in the body providing hydration for our joints, hair, eyes and especially the skin.
